​In the Spring of 2019 Women Sharing Art artists Linda Purrazella and Gabriella Grama applied for and received a grant to create a mosaic which required using a collective of community members as the artists. After holding several events all summer long- including holding one at Mercy's Sayville shelter, the final piece needed to be "finished" and put together, then hung with great care. The photos in this album show the creative process, community effort, and love that went into the project from the starting drawing to the final piece(which the photos do not do justice). Mercy wishes to thank the NY State Council on the Arts and Huntington Arts Council, The Sayville organization of talented artists in Women Sharing Art, The community members, staff and residents who spent time on their unique creations to be used in the mosaic, and Peter Pantaleo who expertly mounted the finished piece to the wall in our Sayville Shelter.

​Mercy Center Ministries, Inc. celebrated 33 years of service to homeless girls and children in Suffolk County on Sunday November 13th at Land’s End.  For their anniversary, Mercy honored The Bayport Blue Point Foundation for their support and their great benevolent work in the Bayport-Blue Point community for the last 27 years.  The Foundation is just $15,000 away from having collected and redistributed One Million dollars since their inception in 1989!
